From the very first time I heard my sister playing Suzanne on her stereo back in the late '60s, I've been addicted to Leonard Cohen's music. It has struck a chord in me, that no other music ever has. His poetry is profound, touching, tentative sometimes, and always, always right on. I have never been so enthralled. Who can resist Hallelujah? I stop and listen to every version that comes along...my favorite, still being Leonard's version. I am not a religious person, but I find his music very spiritual in a personal way. If ever a man has touched the hand of any god, it must Leonard Cohen. His lyrics give me chills, and I listen to his music over and over to catch every nuance. Sisters of Mercy, So Long, Marianne. His album, Songs from the Road is my favorite, but really, how do you choose? Thank you Leonard, for touching my life in so many ways. You've helped me through love affairs and the ends of them, you've encouraged me in ways you'll never know, and most importantly, you taught me how to look inward and examine myself, my life, my motives, and to find the real me. I am grateful........
