Real wood is better than formica

Being genuine.

I grew up in a housing project in NYC. It seemed like a world of plastic and steel. Nothing felt real. But in 1961 I discovered folk music and soon after that Judy Collins and that of course brought me to Leonard Cohen. Leonard is so real for me, his life has always been one of passion and reality. And that is why he, his words and his music speak to me, and touch me. I listened to him and listened to him. But it wasn't until I was 60 years old that I got to see him live at Madison Square Garden. My wife bought two tickets for my 60th birthday and that was the best concert I have ever been to in my life.

I have seen Leonard three times live since then. I have a play list on my iPod (306 songs) song by him and others, it plays over and over in my car. Nothing else but Mr. Cohen when you ride with me, and everyone of my friends knows that.

He is the real thing!
