The first time I saw the first of many astounding Hayao Miyazaki movies - I was only seven years old, hospitalized half of my childhood and having well over 10+ surgeries in my lifetime. I was a hospitalized spirit who fell in love with a certain VHS movie - Spirited Away. That's the moment I felt like there is another world outside of my own, it was also the moment I adored the fact of how different I am compare to most children my age. I was moved by the magic of the story, I found the world of Japanese culture absolutely beautiful. I'm in my twenties now, and Spirited Away will always be my first love, and my favorite movie of all time. I love every single Hayao Miyazaki movie - but Spirited away gave me the unforgettable feeling of falling absolutely in love with the depth of the story. I will always be a hospitalized spirit given the multiple health issues I have, I will live in the hospital for about two weeks every couple of years until I finally pass from this world. While I am a hospitalized spirit - I will watch the pure magic of Hayao Miyazaki movies everytime. He's my one and only idol. He is the prove of the purity of art and creativity. Hayao Miyazaki is magic.
