Thank you for teaching me the meaning of love, loss, family, and friendship. Thank you for teaching me how precious everything in life can be. Thank you for letting me enjoy the world inside your mind. Every time I watch one of your creations, I feel warmth and comfort within myself. Your movies and short films transcend the norm of a "happy ending."
One of your first animations that I saw was Spirited Away when I was a teenager. Even though I wasn't a kid, I had the same struggle as Chihiro. I didn't know who I was or where I was going, but it was inspiring watching your character always moving forward. After that, I became enthralled in your imagination. No matter how many times I watched your movies, I always found new meaning and significance to the story and characters. With each animation, I learned more about myself and the precious people around me.
Your stories are magical, as well as the animation that comes with it. The artwork in itself is enchanting to see. From the scenery to the characters, each of them are wonderfully executed and breathtaking.
As a future storyteller and creative writer, you are an inspiration. I will always continue to watch your creations and appreciate the worlds that you've opened up for everyone to see. You are clearly an inspiration to all. Thank you for being who you are as a person and as an artist. You are an ethereal being, and your animations will never be a mistake, Mr. Miyazaki!
