You saved my life

Dear Mr. Miyazaki,
You are quite the inspiration on my life. Actually, you saved my life. I know it's crazy to think about; a children's movie being a means to save a life but here is how my story goes. A few years back I was young and going through tough times. My life had been nothing but tough times growing up, but there was one thing that I remembered from my childhood. My grandmother one day brought home a copy of the movie Kiki's Delivery Service. I use to watch this movie over and over till I would fall asleep. It became a precious thing to me and helped me grow up. Years later I was hit by wave after wave of memories from the past when I was young and was unable to watch this beloved movie of mine. I became so clinically depressed that I was placed on suicide watch and constantly checked for marks. One day I was laying around thinking about the worth of my own life. Scary to think, me, at 13 would want to die because my past haunted me and my current life was and still is a wreck. But then I found a sense of refuge in a childhood memory. I remembered watching kiki and her adventure as she learned about herself and what it's like to grow up. I quickly went and looked it up and asked my mom if we could go to Blockbuster to rent a movie. That night I watch Kiki's delivery service 4-6 times back to back. I then got on the Internet and search your name. All these familiar faces popped up and I knew I was hooked. I am now 18 years old and every time I feel depressed or upset or even just a bit out of place I watch your beautiful movies and remember that I am lucky to have found you all those years ago and managed to overcome myself and brighten my life with your art. Thank you for being my life saver. You are amazing and I am glad you got to do what you love. We all love you.
Sincerely,
Castiel Winchester
