I have always been a fan of adrenaline pumping activities whether it's skydiving, zip lining through a jungle or flying across town in a small private helicopter. So when I about Over The Edge and had the opportunity to rappel down 38 stories while supporting a great charitable cause, I was all in! My coworkers (TeamGM) helped me to get setup with all of the necessary info and I started collecting funds to help all of the Wish Kids that this great event was supporting. Since I work/live in Michigan, I flew down to Austin the week leading up to the event. On the day of the event, I arrived early to take in the atmosphere and to see exactly what I signed up to do. I was excited and ready to get going. Shortly after arriving, it was my time to get ready for the long rappel down. Once I was on top of the building, I felt my enthusiasm go through the roof. Not an ounce of nerves were present and I was ready to get going. They strapped me in and as I stood on the ledge of the W Hotel I took a brief moment to soak in the surroundings around me. The view was incredible. The team told me to start lowering myself to the side of the building and then pause for one final picture. Then, I was off. After 4 minutes 30 seconds my feet touched the ground. It was an incredible adventure that I would do again in a heartbeat.

All-in-all, the event was well orchestrated and we raised an incredible amount of money to support many, many Wish Kids. To everyone reading this post that hasn't had the opportunity to do this, do yourself a favor and sign up next year. You will not be disappointed!!
